Dr. Shvartzman has twenty years of experience using neuromodulators for cosmetic indications. Subtle differences in injection technique can produce noticeably different cosmetic outcomes. For example, when working on the forehead to decrease wrinkling, it is important to not over-medicate, causing the eyebrows to droop. In fact, the eyebrows can be slightly elevated, resulting in a more open, refreshed-looking mid-face.
Botox can also be used to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating).

Chemical peel is the application of a chemical solution to remove the outer layers of skin, which can improve texture and reveal smoother, clearer, radiant skin. All peels can treat areas on the face, and most peels can also treat the neck and hands. Chemical peel is primarily used for cosmetic reasons, but in some cases, treatment is done on pre-cancerous skin growths and melasma (a skin condition characterized by irregularly shaped patches of brown skin commonly found on the face and neck).
Scar revision is surgery to improve or reduce the appearance of scars. It also restores function, and corrects skin changes (disfigurement) caused by an injury, wound, or previous surgery.
As we age we naturally develop wrinkles on our skin. Often they occur in areas that have received the most exposure to the sun such as the face, neck, back of the hands and forearms. Wrinkles can appear as fine lines, creases or deep furrows.
The most common treatment for wrinkles are the Fraxel, CO2, and fractional CO2 lasers.
Fraxel® Erbium Laser Treatment is designed to target aging and damaged skin by creating microscopic “wounds” within the targeted areas well beneath the skin’s outermost layer. In this way, Fraxel® Laser treatments trigger the body’s own natural production of new collagen and skin cells. Because Fraxel® Laser Treatment is non-ablative, healing occurs so quickly that there is very little downtime for patients (usually a day or two). This laser treatment needs to be repeated multiple times, depending upon the degree of skin damage, but it allows you to continue life without the longer downtime of other lasers.
Fractional CO2 Laser
Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing has the benefit of requiring only one treatment to achieve the results of 3 to 5 fractional erbium laser treatments, but it requires a 4-6 days of down time with application of ointment to the skin.
CO2 Laser
The gold standard of resurfacing, this laser has been the work horse for softening deep wrinkles and reversing significant sun dammage. However, the healing time required post-procedure is 10-14 days, requiring some wound care by patients at home and time off from work. In general, the CO2 laser will, in one treatment, achieve results only attainable after two to three treatments with the fractional CO2, which is most often used for more superficial wrinkles. The non-ablative Fraxel laser is used for even more superficial skin aging.
A brow lift or forehead lift reverses the effects of gravity and tightens the soft tissues of the forehead to restore a more youthful contour to your forehead skin, upper eyelids and eyebrows. A brow lift can help reduce sagging or low eyebrow position that creates a tired appearance.
Laser removal of tattoos is the safest and most effective way to remove a tattoo. Precision Dermatology uses the Nd:YAG and Alexandrite lasers. Tattoo removal requires multiple treatments depending on the size, color, type, and depth of the tattoo. During the procedure itself, a handpiece is placed on the surface of the skin and a pulsed laser light is delivered. The laser light energy targets and breaks up the tattoo ink which over time leads to dilution of the ink and lightening of the tattoo.
For immediate tattoo removal, a tattoo can be surgically excised depending on the locaiton and size of the tattoo.

Dermabrasion is a treatment in which the outer layers of the skin are aggressively sanded to create a smooth and evenly pigmented appearance. It can be likened to laser skin resurfacing or a deep chemical peel such as Phenol or TCA. Dermabrasion can treat wrinkles, acne scars, and surgical scars by gently blending them into the surrounding areas of skin. This mechanical process uses an abrasive tool for the controlled removal of damaged or scarred skin, sanding it down to create a smooth surface.

Sclerotherapy is a form of treatment for both spider veins and average-sized varicose veins. This treatment uses a chemical called polidocanol and injects it into the troublesome veins to cause the blood to coagulate, inflammation to set in, and the vein to eventually collapse so that the blood supply is rerouted to healthier veins. With sclerotherapy, some patients may require several injection sessions for optimal results, but these are scheduled about a month apart. After finishing the treatment, the pain and unsightly appearance of the damaged veins are greatly improved.

Facelift
A facelift is a surgical procedure that is typically used to give a more youthful appearance to the face. Technically, it is also called a rhytidectomy. This type of cosmetic surgery reshapes the lower one-third of the face by removing excess facial skin. Facelift procedures also include the tightening of underlying tissues.
Mini Facelift
A mini facelift, also known as a short-scar facelift, is generally appropriate for people who show aging in the mid-face and do not have a severe amount of excess skin around their jaw line and neck. This procedure also leaves fewer external scars than a full facelift.

Blepharoplasty is an eyelid surgery that improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, and gives a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes.
Some patients have enough extra skin and fat in the upper eyelids or enough drooping of the upper eyelids that it blocks a portion of the peripheral vision. This can cause problems keeping the eyelids open when driving a car or when reading. Removing this excess results in a less tired, more open mid face. The procedure can be performed as outpatient surgery in the office, saving about half the cost compared to traditional outpatient surgery centers.
